The Mohaka River bounds the south-western corner of the block and the Otupua Stream is near the western boundary. The contour of the terrain is easy to moderate. There are Tussock flats along the Otupua Stream fringed with Manuka scrub, Beech forest covers about ¾ of the block.
The predominant large game animal is Sika Deer with the occasional Red Deer.
It is a 20-minute walk to the Mohaka River. There are normally good numbers of Rainbow and Brown Trout, both fly and spinner fishing are allowed during the season (1st October to 30th June).
